| Dave is a sound designer, technical
director, lighting designer and technical consultant. His most recent
sound designs include Swan Lake, Remix, at the Ned & Kayla Skinner
Theater; productions of The Cripple of Inishmaan and Bald
Soprano/American Dream at the Poncho Concert Hall; and The Changeling,
by Thomas Middleton, Wilder, Wilder, Wilder, a festival of Thornton
Wilder One act plays, Caryl Churchill's Mouthful of Birds, and Jose
Rivera's The Giants Have Us in Their Books at Seattle’s Broadway
Performance Hall. Dave was the Technical Manager of the Seattle
Repertory Theater in 1981 and one of the original founders of the
Performance Production department at Cornish College of the Arts in
Seattle, Washington, where he has taught for 24 years, and serves as
Department Chair. He is Vice Commissioner for Communications for the
Sound Commission of the USITT; the Associate Editor for Sound for TD&T,
the Journal of the USITT; a member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES);
and a past Chair and current program committee member for the Pacific
Northwest Audio Engineering Society. His articles have been published in
Mix Magazine, Live Sound, Cadence, Lighting Dimensions, and TD&T. Dave
holds a BS in Management and an MFA in Technical Theater/Lighting Design
from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. |
