Ian has worked in many aspects of the entertainment industry: Sound Engineer with touring bands in the UK and Europe, Chief Technician of a major UK theatre festival and Technical Manager for a leading UK theatre.

In recent years Ian has become a full time educator in Technical Theatre at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Wales (UK).

To keep up to date with industry developments and to give students experience at a professional level, Ian set up a event production company supplying Power management, Stage Lighting, Sound and Stage management for large scale events. These include: Rock, Pop, Dance and Classical concerts for the BBC, local radio stations and Local Authorities and the Air Race in Longleat for Red Bull.

Ian was pleased to accept the position of Technical Director of Scenofest 2007 during an OISTAT Education Commission meeting in Istanbul 2004.
