| Workshop Leader: Sound Design: A Communal Process? | ||
| A sound designer, theater
educator and business proprietor by trade and fate, Jethro graduated
from the University of the Philippines with a Master’s degree in Theater
Arts. He has composed, arranged and produced various musical works for
film, television, church and theater. In 2003, he participated in the
1st Theater Soundscore Design Exhibition in the OISTAT Scenofest of the
2003 Prague Quadrennial and in 2005, The Digital Exhibition of The World
Stage Design in Toronto Canada.
Since 1997, he has actively worked as a sound designer and director in numerous theater productions for professional, university-based and community theater groups. These companies include Tanghalang Pilipino, Dulaang UP, Dulaang Filipino, and the Centro Escolar Dramatic Guild among others. Jethro is currently a lecturer in the Production Design and Technical Theater Department of the De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, School of Design and Arts and runs a small project studio in Manila. |
