Joe is a sound designer and a professor at Carnegie Mellon University. 

Recent designs include AFTER THE FALL at the Alley Theatre in Houston and THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP at Hartford Stage. 

Noteworthy designs include Robert Wilson's DANTON'S DEATH and BELL AND CLOCK: THE DEAD MEDIA PLAY for which he was awarded the gold medal in sound design at World Stage Design 2005.
