Peter Bond trained as a stage and lighting designer at Wimbledon School of Art, London. Since then he has practiced art and design over a broad spectrum of fields ranging from theatre designs, scenic artworks and solo exhibitions through to his current practice as a performance artist, writer and educator.

Recent works include solo performances that are largely improvised and aim to deconstruct the notion of text as well as theatre and performance itself. He is currently working on a research degree that aims to expand upon ideas on performativity in order to generate and promote a greater understanding of performance as critical discourse.

Peter is a senior lecturer and researcher in the cultural/contextual studies department at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, London. Together with Michael Spencer he manages The Split Second performance research project at the college.
