| Randy is the Chair of Scenic Technology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition to running the graduate and undergraduate programs in Technical Direction he serves as advisor to all freshman design, technology, and management students. His research is centered on automated motion control and electronics for the stage, receiving both university research grants and corporate support for his continuing research in the field of Show Control. He has worked in theatre, music, and dance as a designer, technical director, and design engineer. He is currently serving as the Digital Media and Technology Coordinator for the United States National and Student Exhibit entries into the 2007 Prague Exhibition. Recent credits include serving as the Associate Video Coordinator and Automated Camera Consultant for Mikel Rouse’s World Premiere of The End of Cinematics and serving as Technical Director for Ralph Lemon’s World Premier of Geography Trilogy: Come Home Charley Patton. Randy is an active member of the United States Institute of Theatre Technology, the Southeastern Theatre Conference, and the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers. | ||
