| Richard Finkelstein is an Associate Professor and Head
of Design at James Madison University’s School of Theatre and Dance. As
a designer of scenery and lighting, his work has been seen in theatre
centers around the world. He has designed Off-Broadway and productions
for The National Theatre of the Deaf, The Colorado Shakespeare Festival,
Barter Theatre, and the New York State Theatre Institute. His work was
exhibited at the World Stage Design Exposition in Toronto and now at The
Prague Quadrennial. Mr Finkelstein is particularly noted as a stage photographer with his work published in the last year alone in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Dance Magazine, Dance Spirit Magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, in numerous publications of The United States Institute for Theatre Technology, and in publications in Japan and Europe. His work graces the cover of the new edition of the book, “Acting is Believing”. |
