| Workshop leader: AN EXPLORATION BEYOND THE AESTHETIC DECISION |

| Ms. Wei-Wen Chang is Executive Director and Vice
President of OISTAT. In 2005, Ms. Chang served as the Chief Executive
in winning the support of Council for Cultural Affairs, Taiwan to
subsidy OISTAT Secretariat for 10 years starting 2006. Ms. Chang is the
curator and exhibition designer of National Exhibition of Taiwan, which
won the Special Silver Medal in Prague Quadrennial 2003 (PQ’03).
Ms. Chang was granted to be an exchange artist for Palacio das Artes
in Brazil 2003. Wei-Wen Chang holds an MFA degree in scene design from Dept. of Theatre and Drama, Indiana University, U.S.A. and BA in Chinese Literature from National Central University, Taiwan. Wei-Wen is a scenographer and teaches in Taipei National University of Arts. She served as designer, production and program manager for many major performing groups and performing arts centers in Taiwan. She has designed more than seventy pieces with theatre credits in U.S.A., Taiwan, H.K and tours in Europe. She has participated in many theater exhibitions in Tokyo, Taipei, as well as in PQ. During her stay in the United States, Ms. Chang was granted the Scenic Arts Award by the National Endowment for the Arts in1990 and invited to design at Washington’s Kennedy Performing Arts Center. She also served as the associate stage designer in residency for the Denver Performing Arts Center and as an assistant designer at the Arena Stage, D.C. |
