This workshop develops ideas around the notion of ‘sculpting’ the body
through the manipulation of existing recycled garments, recycled objects and
materials. Students will be given a brief and split into small transnational
groups. They will develop ideas jointly both on paper and on the body. Such
ideas will embody a given theme / idea using extension and distortion of the
body as a means to communicate such ideas. Movement and sound will also be ways
through which such ideas are communicated.
The final work will be presented and paraded around the exhibition.
