Students will be put into teams of 4 to build a 1:25 model, swatch colors of fabric and write light cues to a sequence from Cavalleria Rusticana (or Salome, or maybe they will light The Birds, the Ed Hughes and Glyn Maxwell opera with vocal ensemble I Fagiolini – each team will create a different piece to discourage comparison of product). The teams will learn to collaborate to become more familiar with each other, the opera and the LIGHTBOX. Professionals and Teachers should be encouraged to attend to participate in the discussion at the end as we will compare process and value of the steps each team took to achieve their stated goal.
