Documenting Your Great Results on Stage

A Hands-On Workshop on Digital Still Photography for the Scenographer

Productions are in real time and their lives on stage are over in an instant. How then can you best document your work on stage so that others in the future can see your contribution to the production in all its glory?
Stage photography has been with us for a century and digital photography itself is not new, but many designers have had disappointing results in trying to capture their work through these means. This workshop is designed to explore a wealth of techniques and strategies to produce magnificent stage photographs of the designers’ work. The workshop will explore best practices in taking photographs as well as in editing the work after the shot has been initially captured by the camera. Bring your cameras with you as well as a laptop computer with your favorite editing software that we may together explore strategies to capture and create great images of your work that will last for a lifetime.
