Caches, Mask as a reflection of myself

In Japan I find materials from the nature and gets hint from the nature. Mimic in the nature world is not only way to hide, but also to protect from some animals. Transforming and pretending. Endless world of changes. Theatre or ordinary life, yet different space and situation, there are same reasons for people to wear the mask. That is very interesting point for me”.(Sota Sakuma)

Participants will make a mask from simple materials [paper, textiles, aluminum foil, ropes etc.] to express themselves according to their own unique characters. Exploring contemporary reasons for the use of the mask in performance.

Impuls for the participants is " Self reflection through the mask", "Personal mimic".

Participants will improvise a short sketches using masks and body movements to explain their own reason for wearing the mask. Target is to develop many variations and oportunities of masks.

Small presentation of masks  and sketches, shooting a video, and discussion
