The expressiveness, power, and complexity of the human voice makes its
reproduction a unique challenge
for a sound designer. When natural reproduction and reenforcement are the sound
designers goal, how
much can a scientific background in the acoustics of the voice assist a
designer? This session will explore
the human voice, as it relates to sound design: what are the key components of
the voice? How does the
way the voice is generated effect the amplification and reproduction of the
voice? What elements are key to
the natural reproduction of human voice?
