TiMax

TiMax, a Digital Signal Processor based audio control system, was
launched in 1997 and has since received a number of industry awards for
innovation. TiMax has become synonymous with the techniques for
localisation of sound in theatres and auditoria, and was one of the
first commercially available products offering dynamic control of time
delay and level for recreating realism in sound reinforcement.
Since its launch, TiMax has enjoyed considerable success, it been used
widely in numerous theatre shows, musicals, operas, son-et-lumiere and
corporate event productions ranging from Riverdance to the Edinburgh
Military Tattoo, from the Detroit Motor Show to The Witches of Eastwick.
More recent developments of the TiMax system have included integrated
sound effects playback and positional tracking of the actors on stage.
