The environment and our listening space...

Recently I have been working on projects using very low level audio material. During the research process, I have come to realize the extreme difficulty in presenting quiet work. Does the amount of noise in our urban, domestic and public environments render nuance and subtlety almost non existent?

During this workshop, a single person at a time will be invited to listen to the same composition in two environments. A short talk with the participant will follow to discuss how the different environments affected the listening experience. (Duration: 60 minutes)
