Opera “Il Barbieri di Seviglia”. Music: Gioachino Rossini. Year: 2006 (BAA_ES0206)

The first thing we did was a brainstorm about the concepts of Sevilla and Andalucia, to create the mood.
We sketched out words such as “guitar”, “olives”, “flamenco”, “Giralda”, “Torre del oro”, “the colour of the sand of the bull-place”, “abanico”, “circular forms”, “wine”, “bull and bullers”, “red flowers”…
We want curved lines in our design. Simple elements, common for each act. The colour of the sand of the bull-place would be the best protagonist.
