The Birds : In seek for a juster society (BDA_BE0104)
The project has been developped first as a 2nd year exercise under the guidance of Béatrice Massinger, and next achieved under the guidance of Xavier de Coster as the first exercise of the 3rd year.
This is a site specific project in the area of Brussels. The place choosen by this student is the Place Poelaert, in front of the Justice Palace, which is like a balcony upon the lesser part of the town.
Between sky and ground !
As a basis to create an ideal city, the birds are making use of roofs that are used to serve until now as building-tops.
Between their world and the world of the gods on the land of the free birds, our two heros try to build a ideal city, with a demagogic blow of arguments. Will they succeed ?
