THE BIRDS IN INTERIOR AND PUBLIC SPACES (BDA_GR02)

A presentation of designs for interior and public spaces (store windows, bar interiors, restaurant interiors etc.), based on the key ideas of Aristophanes’
THE BIRDS, which is the looking for a better world.
The sub-text includes the idea of the transition from reality to fantasy, which is the need of the people to escape and dream, the quest for the best in life. Today’s society breeds continuously the desire for the pursuit of the new, the original, the impressive and quite often the easy.  People are always in need of a virtual reality, which they keep trying to make come true.
The Project is the outcome of the students’ work from two workshops of the Interior Architecture and Design Dept. of TEI Athens, that deal with their subjects from the scenographical point of view, namely the “Colour in Space” and the “Applied Arts”.
