Alessandra Santini is studying on the Postgraduate Theatre Design course at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff Wales. Since her degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from the Conservatorio S.s Annunziata, Florence, Alessandra has worked in Italy, Germany and France with the physical theatre company ‘Elan’ and director Firenza Guidi, and as Designer with company ARTEURO, France. Productions have included: ‘Woyzeck’, ‘Bianco’, ‘Dog Tags’ ‘The Crucible’ and ‘The Big Silence’ working variously as Designer, Assistant to the director,  Assistant Designer, costume,props and location sourcing. Postgraduate projects and practical work includes: a conceptual set and costume design proposal for Ibsen’s ‘A Doll’s House’- model making, costume and life drawing, costume cutting, technical drawing… and currently a proposal for the opera ‘The Birds’ composed by Ed Hughes, [The Opera Group, Wales ] .This studio design project forms her entry for Scenofest Birds 2007.
