Having trained as an actor at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Emma studied for her MA at RADA and King College, London.  As an actor her primary interest lies in the development of new work, though her work has included small roles for Granada, Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, BBC, and Theatr Iolo.  Her directorial credits include productions for educational institutions and professional companies (Liverpool Culture Company, i2i, Edge Hill University, Liverpool Community College).  She is Artistic Director of i2i Arts, a Liverpool based theatre company and, in 2003, she created a solo performance, Battered, incorporating aspects of multi-media and mask to focus on the psychological effects of domestic abuse.  This year Emma is launching a new company created to focus specifically on creating work focused on the relationship between classical text and contemporary consciousness.
