Eva Liparova

Eva Liparova is in the 2nd year of BA Performance Arts at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Along with her colleagues, she formed a collaborative devising company The Alternative Theatre, which combines conventions of theatre with live installation, puppetry, film projection, self-composed text and music in order to create new performance forms. In 2006, The Alternative Theatre presented two site-specific productions. “Turning Point” was directed by Tristan Sharps, the artistic director of an acclaimed British company DreamThinkSpeak. “Where Shadows of the World Appear” was a result of co-operation with the English National Opera, and took place in the basements of the Shoreditch Townhall. In these projects, Eva took on a role of a deviser, dramaturg, performer and designer. Her further performance credits include a Tim Gregory film “Highway Child”, presented at Vienna’s TopKino in 2005. Eva is currently working with aktivnagruppa company on another site-specific project in a former cement factory in Slovakia. She also leads improvisation, puppetry and writing workshops at Vienna International School in Austria.
