Nakita Lee Dessington

Babel exhibition: A Montage of Possibilities' Proposals for a new tower
Nakita is currently in her second year at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College. She is completing her BA HONS degree in Design for Theatre, Film and Television. Alongside her course, Nakita has completed 8 weeks of work experience at the National Film and Theatre School, where she worked as an assistant alongside MA students on two productions, Firstly an animation set using puppets called ‘For the love of God’ and the other a full scale set consisting of hotel room and lobby used in the production ‘Earthquake’. Skills gained during this experience include set construction, set dressing and assisting during filming. She has also taken part in the Collaborators Exhibition at Nottingham Trent University, Where a group of students from different institutions collaborated to produce something with the ‘taking flight’ theme in a day. This experience was a great chance to see how in this field people need to work as a team, face deadlines, and use effective communication skills.
