Raymond Marius Boucher graduated from Concordia University’s Theatre program in 1988 and began his career as a designer assisting Michael Eagan and David Ultz at the Stratford Festival (Ontario).  Since returning to Montreal, Raymond Marius has designed the sets for over eighty theatrical productions and various dance, cinema and exhibition designs for museums.  He was nominated four times for best set by the Academie Québécoise du Théâtre; Hedda Gabler at Théâtre du Nouveau Monde; Le Thriomphe de l’Amour at L’espace GO; Romances et Karaokes and finally for Special Contribution for his maquettes; Au Moment de sa Disparition both for Théâtre Le Clou.  He received a Special Honorary Mention given by the Council of the Prague Quadrennial ’03 at the recommendation of the International Jury PQ’03 awards to the Canada theatre exhibit for its clarity and national spirit.
