The only school in Uruguay dedicated to forming professionals in the
area of theatrical design. The theatrical design program consists of
four years of study with a schedule of an average 30 hours weekly, the
dynamic of the work being practical theory. The designers are trained
in three different areas: illumination, stage design, and wardrobe
design. In addition, complementary courses include characterization,
wardrobe production, sound, props and drawing. The theoretical area is
covered in courses in history of theatre, literature, theatrical theory
and art history. The students are evaluated through their work in
design for a theatrical project carried out together with acting
students of the same year. |
